Neuropsychological assessment includes initial interview, evaluation and scoring, report writing, consultation with appropriate agencies (if applicable) and a feedback session.
The evaluation typically consists of eight (8) to ten (10) hours of assessment. This is usually broken down over two (2) to three (3) sessions.
Parents of young children are expected to remain nearby during the evaluation period. At times, parents may be asked to enter into the office to participate in the assessment. For the remainder of the time, parents are expected to remain in the waiting room or to be immediately accessible.
Fee information, payment arrangements and co-payments are discussed prior to the initial evaluation. All assessments require a 50% down payment for services rendered prior to the initiation of the evaluation. All evaluations are followed by a feedback session to explain results and recommendations.
Reports are typically delivered to the parent within two (2) weeks of the feedback session.
